POPSUGAR Must Have Box September!

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to try the September POPSUGAR Must Have Box, and share my thoughts with you all. This box was very different from the last box I reviewed, so keep reading to see what kind of products were featured this month!

The Jack and Lucy Bicoastal Wide Brim Hat: I was really excited to see a hat in this box! I've been wanting a cute one for fall, so this came in right in time. It is an all black, wide-brim hat with a very soft texture. It looks really cute paired with any fall look, like sweaters, dresses, cardigans, etc.

Retails for $58

Briogeo Deep Conditioning Mask: This mask revitalized my dry hair. I especially have issues with the ends of my hair feeling dry and breaking off, so I'm hoping continued use of this product will continue to make my hair softer.

Retails for $36

Smith & Cult Lip Lacquer in The Warning: This product caught me extremely off guard simply because it is called a "lip lacquer," and I guess with the liquid lipstick trend I expected it to be very opaque. Upon application I realized that it is translucent, but the red shade is still gorgeous. It is more of a gloss than a lacquer but I still enjoy the product. It is good for more natural looks, and the gloss is not sticky or uncomfortable on the lips at all!

Retails for $22

Flint Lint Roller: This is the coolest lint roller I've ever seen! The metal packaging is really fancy, and the bottom of the product twists up like a lip balm to reveal the lint roller. If you find yourself using lint rollers a lot, you might want to try this out because you can easily travel with it and avoid a sticky mess. It's also refillable!

Retails for $9.99

The Gluten Free Dark Chocolate Coconut Bites: I can't stand the taste of coconut, but I tried these for the sake of this review. I'm kind of iffy on the flavor. I like the chocolate aspect. It makes the coconut flavor a little more tolerable, but I can't really get past the texture. If you like chocolate and coconut, you might like these better than I did! The Gluten Free Bar brand has a lot of other products though, so I'm interested in trying those out.

Retails for $4.99

NCLA Mani-ER Tool Kit: This nail set is so nice! It has every tool you need to take good care of your nails. I've only used the nail clipper and the scissors so far, but they seem very sturdy. I think they'll last a very long time. The case is also very nice! I can see myself keeping this in my purse or throwing it in my cosmetic bag for travel.

Retails for $16

This box introduced me to a lot of interesting products! The hat is a great addition to my wardrobe, and the nail kit and lint roller are really travel friendly. I did not care much for the Chocolate Coconut Bites, but I'm sure that you'll like them if you like Coconut. Overall, I like this box even better than the July box that I reviewed a little while ago because I can see myself using these products on a regular basis.

IT Cosmetics Sephora Exclusives

Hi guys! IT Cosmetics has released some products that are exclusive to Sephora stores, and they kindly sent me the products to test out! IT Cosmetics has become one of my favorite brands, and I use at least one of their products (usually more) on a daily basis. Keep reading to see which awesome products will be available at your nearest Sephora.

I have tried the Bye Bye Undereye Illumination Concealer, and love it so much! I like the original formula too, but this illumination formula puts the concealing and brightening/highlighting part of my makeup application into one easy step. Below are all 4 colors: Light, Medium, Tan, and Deep. My only issue with these concealers is I think there needs to be one more even lighter shade, and a couple more deeper shades that are darker than the deep shade.

$24

Bottom to top: Light, Medium, Tan, Deep

The Bye Bye Lines Serum is still very new to me, so I can't say how effective it is as far as results. It does make my skin feel so smooth and amazing though. I use this right before applying my daily/nightly moisturizer. I like that this product features a pump too. It makes application very easy and sanitary. I love pretty much everything from It Cosmetic's Bye Bye Line, so I'm sure this will become a favorite.

$58

The Anti-Aging Armour is a cool product because it features SPF 50+ and protects the skin against UVA and UVB rays. But is also has an illuminating feature, and as soon as I apply this I instantly see that my skin looks a lot brighter. I also like that the formula is very thin, and not thick and sticky like a lot of sunscreens. It is so important to protect the skin from the sun, so I highly recommend giving this a try.

$38

The Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment is another one of my favorite IT Cosmetics products. I've been using this product for months and I'm almost out, so I'm, extremely happy to have a backup! It makes my lips feel so soft and smooth for hours. I love applying it before applying drying, matte lip products. I also enjoy applying it before bed to wake up to soft lips. And on its own it flushes to a natural color that will suit anyone's lips. And the magnetic packaging feels very luxurious. Highly recommend this product!

$24

The Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm is another product I've been using and loving for months! It melts off any kind of makeup (even waterproof mascara) and leaves my skin feeling as soft as it feels after using a mask! This is another product that is absolutely worth the price and worth trying.

$38

Since, I've just started using the Bye Bye Under Eye Cream, I'm not completely sure about the long-term effectiveness, but I have noticed that my eyes are less puffy, and tired looking in the morning when I apply this before bed. It is a pretty thick and creamy consistency, but it does not feel too heavy on the skin. I can do an updated review once I've used this for a little longer!

$48

Bye Bye Pores Primer: I've used this for a week and I'm already obsessed with it! I love the Bye Bye Pores Powder and have been using that for months, so I was excited to try out the primer. I feel like Bye Bye Pores is an understatement! This, paired with the powder make me look like I have a real life filter on! My skin looks so soft and airbrushed. I'm extremely impressed.

$38

The CC+ Skin Perfecting Brush is another product that I've been using for a while now. I literally use it every single day! I love using it with powders, but it works great with liquids too! The shape is perfect, and you will not find a brush softer than this one! Seriously, I've tried, and none of my other brushes come close to the softness of this one. If you get it you probably won't even want to use it because it is so gorgeous.

$48

Overall, I'm excited to see these products at Sephora, because a lot of them were QVC Today's Special Values at one point in time. IT Cosmetics continues to impress me with their products. My only gripe is that I wish they would expand their shade range. The fact that I wear the darkest shade (and I know sooo many people darker than me) is a bummer. I know the price tag might hold many of you back from purchasing, but these products are so high quality that they really are worth the price!

The Estee Edit

Thanks to Influenster, I've been given the opportunity to try out these Estee Edit products by Estee Lauder. All these products are available exclusively at sephora.com.

The first two products I tried out are for the face. The Radiance Activator Treat +  Prep + Glow ($55) is good for every skin type, and it contains a serum which helps to get rid of dullness and unevenness in skin. There are teeny-tiny particles of sparkle in it (barely notifiable unless you are an inch away from the skin) which give the skin an immediate glow. I love applying it right after applying my moisturizer, but before my foundation. It is awesome for days when I don't have time for highlighting and want to give my skin some glow without doing that whole step.

The Late Night Brightening Eye Balm ($42) reduces the appearance of dark circles. It is definitely a huge help when my late nights of studying is visible on my face. I never really use products like this, but I've honestly noticed a huge difference in my under eye bag. The metal applicator is also very soothing and is a nice added touch to the packaging.

Here's what the Radiance Activator an Eye Balm look like (from left to right).

Next up is the Inside Track Eye Kajal in the shade Navy Brat/Baby Blue ($22). This product is everything I expect in an Eye Kajal. It glides on the skin easily and can easily be smudged out for smokier looks. Plus these colors are gorgeous! I've been loving using these to spice up my everyday look instead of going with my usual black eyeshadow.

And finally, the Metallishadow Creme + Powder in AquaNova ($25) which is a gorgeous teal cream eyeshadow with a matching teal powder which is below the cream (not pictured). This goes perfectly with the eye kajals. I like the idea of a cream on top and a powder underneath in one package because it is very convenient. The powder is extremely pigmented, but even more intensified by the cream shadow.

Here's what the Eye Kajal and the Creme + Powder looks like:

Overall, this is a cool collection with lots of fun colors and innovative ideas. The price points are a tad high, but I expect that from a high end brand. I can't even pick which of these products is my favorite because I was impressed with all of them! I encourage all of you to take a look at sephora's website to see the other products this brand has to offer.

Pop Sugar Must Have Box July 2016

Pop Sugar has given me the opportunity to try their Must Have Box (monthly subscription) from the month of July! This box came with several products that will come in handy for the remaining part of the summer!

Inside the box features a little pamphlet that gives a description of all the items you're getting in the box.

House of Pom Emoji Cocktail Napkins: These little napkins are so cute, and they would be really nice to use for parties. I really like that they are fabric and reusable.

Michael Stars Porcelin Skinny Scarf in White:This skinny scarf is light weight and perfect for summer. I've worn this on a few occasions with summer dresses.

Sachajuan Hair in the Sun: This serum is very light weight, so it does not weigh down my hair at all. It also offers sun protection for the hair as well, which most people neglect during their outdoor summer activities.

Sunnylife Inflatable Drink Holder: Another great item to use at a party. It would be great for a pool party since it's inflatable.

Joe Chips Classic Sea Salt Retro Potato Chips: i ate these chips within 5 minutes of receiving this box! They are really good potato chips, and I like the sea salt.

Pintrill Pineapple Pin: This adorable pin might revitalize my pin collecting hobby. I like wearing it on the skinny scarf above.

European Wax Center Oh My Brow Brow Highlighter in Pear: This has been the only highlighter I've been using since receiving this box. It reminds me a lot of Benefit's Watt's Up Highlighter in texture, but it is a little warmer. This gives my an amazing glow with any makeup look. I actually use it on my cheeks more than my brows.

This box also features a $20 gift card to Trove which is a jewelry website.

I think this box is an awesome value overall. It is valued at $100 and costs $39.95 per month. My most used product in this box is the Brow Highlighter. If you are interested in this box, use the code SHOP5 for $5 off your first box! Have you tried the Pop Sugar Must Have Box before? If so, let me know what you think about it in the comments!

Studio Gear Dual Identity Wet/Dry Foundation

Studio Gear has given me the opportunity to try their Dual Identity Wet/Dry Foundation and let you all know my thoughts on it!

Essentially, this foundation has the capability of being used as a liquid or powder depending on if you just use the powder on its own, or mix it with the Studio Gear Revitalizing Day Serum to achieve a liquid foundation. I received the shade Raw Sugar (darkest shade) which is a perfect match for me.

The packaging for the Serum is very nice and feels high quality. And the powder comes in a loose form, but it has a sifter on the packaging to keep things from getting too messy.

Applied dry it is very similar to a lot of loose powders I have tried. It gives me a nice matte finish with light to medium coverage depending on how much is used. On my oily skin type it lasts 5+ hours before I need to blot or reapply.

Applied wet my skin feels extremely soft, and the finish is very natural. It gives me light to medium coverage, similarly to the dry form, and it's surprisingly very quick and easy to use. I found that it doesn't take much longer than using foundation which is already in liquid form. If I am applying it wet I skip the moisturizer step in my skin care routine because with the serum, extra moisturizer is unnecessary. My favorite way to use this powder is by using it wet and then setting it with the dry powder after it sets. This way I get maximum coverage and staying power.

Overall, this is a cool concept and I like the color a lot. I also love how it makes my skin feel. The only thing I would change about this foundation is the shade range because I feel like more darker colors are needed.

Summer Makeup Faves 2016

It has been forever since I've done a favorites post, so I figured I'd update you all on the products that have been getting me through these, hot, summer months!

The Black Radiance Pressed Face Powder in Ebony has been my number one choice as a bronzer/contour shade. Since my skin has gotten so much darker from being in the sun, I have found it useful to look for pressed powders that are darker than my skintone because right now every bronzer/contour shade that I own is about the same shade as my skin. My go to highlighter is the Maybelline Master Hi-Light in Mauve which I have been loving for it's finely milled powder. The glow and hint of mauve it provides has been adding much more depth to my summer night looks. I've also been loving the Colour Pop Super Shock Cheek Matte in Tonic. I've said this many times on this blog, but if you have a deep skin tone, try an orange blush! Seriously, orange on bronze/ebony skin tones looks amazing!

For my daily face powder I've been using the Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder in Coconut. This powder has awesome coverage, and I love it for days where I don't want to put on foundation, but want to even out my skin. But on the days I do decide to wear more coverage on my skin, I have been using the Supersize CC Illumination Color Correcting Illuminating Full Coverage Cream SPF 50+ in Deep. This may be classified as a CC Cream, but the coverage is about the same as most of the medium coverage foundations I normally use. The added spf makes it perfect for all the outdoor activities I've been doing lately.

I haven't been into wearing bold lip colors because the weather is so humid and hot here in Georgia, I feel like I would be sweating them off constantly. But the lip products I have been using are the Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip, which is extremely moisturizing and feels so comfortable on the lips. And for a hint of color I've been adding the 2nd Love Cosmetics Pout Plumping Lip Gloss in Coralina, which is a gorgeous coral color for summer.

As I said above, the weather here isn't exactly "makeup friendly" so I have not been reaching for many of my eye products unless I'm going out at night. But on the daily, I do use the Hello Lashes 5-in-1 Volumizing Mascara which does amazing things for my lashes all-around. It gives me length, volume, and separation.

What products have been your favorites so far this summer? Let me know in the comments!
