Maybelline Color Tattoo By Eyestudio 24 hr Eyeshadow

A few months ago Maybelline released their Color Tattoo By Eyestudio 24 hr Eyeshadows with the claim that they were long lasting and would last all day. I was very curious about these, but I have always had bad experiences with drugstore cream eyeshadows. They would have either bad color payoff, or they would crease very quickly. Then I saw how much hype these started to receive on youtube, and I went out immediatly and purchase the shade 25 Bad to the Bronze. This product has been my most used eye product ever since! Right now I have all but 2 of the shades. Here are the swatches:

The colors from left to right are:
-Bad to the Bronze
-Bold Gold
-Tough As Taupe
-Audacious Asphalt
-Tenacious Teal
-Edgy Emerald
-Painted Purple
-Too Cool

Now I am going to tell you the good things and the bad things about these cream eyeshadows:
Pros: -Good Variety of Colors
         -Creamy and easy to blend
         - Excellent staying power and does not fade
         -Good price (Range from about $5-8 USD)
         -Great when used as a base for powder eyeshadow
         -Can be used alone and did not crease on me
         -Color looks exactly how it does in the pot

Cons: -None! The only thing I would say is it would be nice if Maybelline came out with brand new colors for limited edition collections every once and a while.

Overall, I am very impressed with this product for the price! These work just as well as high end bases. If you have not tried these I highly recommend them!

Have you ever tried any of the Maybelline Color Tattoos? If, so what is your favorite shade?

May/June Favorites!

During the summer I do not wear a lot of makeup products, so my favorites does not change very often. This is why I decided to just decided to wait and do a monthly favorites for May and June. The products I have been enjoying are:

1. Pink Chiffon Fine Fragrance Mist and Body Lotion: I got these at Bath and Body works a while ago, I have been obsessing over this scent for the past couple months! The scent is a light, floral, sweet scent. I really like this scent for summer because it isn't to strong and overpowering, and is nice to freshen up.

2. Maybelline Color Tattoo in 25 Bad to the Bronze: This shade is a shimmery bronze color that had a lot of lasting power. This is great for the days I do not feel like putting on much eyeshadow. I just sweep this color over the eyelids for a fresh wash of color.

3. Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Pencil in Zero: I bought this product some time last year and had forgotten about it, but since I sweat a lot I wanted to use an eyeliner that would last a long time, and this works great for me.

4.Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara  in Black Drama: This mascara works perfectly for my eyelashes. It gives me volume, separation, and length. I've used this tube so much that it is completely dry, and no product is coming out. I will definitely go repurchase it, but I kind of want to try the new Mega Plush Mascara by Maybelline.

5. Eos Lipbalm in Summer Fruit: I love these lip balms and they smell great. They aren't the best for moisturizer, but they work well for me. You may need a better lip balm if you have really dry lips.

6. Maybelline Baby Lips in 20 Grapevine: This smells amazing and gives a nice amount of color and moisture to my lips.

7. Revlon Lip Butter in 050 Berry Smoothie: I love these because they cab build up as much color as a lip stick, but still be as sheer as a tinted lip balm. They also add moisture to the lips. This also stays on my lips for a decent amount of time depending on how much I eat or drink. This is one of my favorite Revlon lip product right now.

Wow, I included a lot of Maybelline products in this favorites! Their products have been really impressing me lately! What products have you been enjoying this month? How much makeup do you wear in the summer time?

Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow Palette Review!

A few weeks ago, while I was visiting New York City, I decided to visit a makeup store called Inglot. I had heard so many good things about this store on different blogs and youtube, so I was very excited to finally try their products. I purchased a freedom system palette with 4 eyeshadow squares, and customized it by picking my own shades of eyeshadow.

I really enjoy the magnetic packaging! It looks very nice, and keeps the eyeshadow protected.
I got a matte, medium-dark purple shade called Matte 325;
a matte, blue-green color called Matte 385;
a shimmery, medium brown-taupe color called Pearl 422;
and finally, a matte cream color for highlighting called Matte 328.
Here are the swatches for each shade:
As you can see, these colors have excellent color payoff, and this is just with one swipe. I am very impressed with how vivid the colors look , and how they look exactly the same as they do in the pan without a primer! I  have worn these eyeshadows almost everyday since I bought the palette, and when I use a primer the colors do not crease. They are also very smooth, and they aren't powdery. I did not see any fallout after applying these shades to my eyelid. I believe these are the best eyeshadows that I have ever tried, and each eyeshadow contains 2.3 to 2.7 grams or product! After comparing these to some high end brands and seeing that these are better, I can't believe that I spent so much on eyeshadows when these are only $6.00 USD each. The 4 square palette was $10.00 USD. They also make other palette sizes, and you can put face powders, lipstick, brow powder, and brow wax in these palettes. These seem like an awesome product for makeup artist.

Overall, I believe these eyeshadows are worth the price, and they also deserve all of the hype they have been receiving on youtube. These are my favorite eyeshadows now! I really want to try some of the other products Inglot has to offer, like their nail polishes, face powders, or lip glosses! I give this product a 10/10.

Have you every tried any products from Inglot? What are your favorite brands to buy eyeshadows from?

NYC Individual Eyes Review

Today I am going to be reviewing a product that I received a month ago called NYC (New York Color) Individual Eyes. This is a small palette that consist of 4 eyeshadows, a primer, and an illuminator. This palette is called Dark Shadows.

My first impressions of this product were very good because the 4 eyeshadows it includes contain the right colors to obtain a complete looks. I was also curious to try the cream primer and illuminator, but my expectations were not high because my eyelids are very oily. When I put this product to the test I found mostly positive things, but I saw a few negatives.

Eyeshadow Pros & Cons:
Pros: good selection of colors for a complete look, nice color payoff, long lasting when used with a primer
Cons: powdery, so there is lots of fall out if you are not careful.

At first I was kind of excited about the primer, but every  time I tried it the eye shadows creased. My eyelids are very oily though, so it may work for someone with dryer eyelids. It last about 4 hours on me which is pretty decent. I did enjoy the color of the primer though, because it made the colors show up nicely and brighter!

Illuminator: I love the cream illuminator it comes with! I love to use it on my brow bone and inner corner of my eye to highlight those areas. It also makes an excellent base, and gives a similar effect to the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, or the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Too Cool. It makes the shadows appear brighter and more true to color. I do recommend using it with a primer if you use it all over the lid, but I would use a different primer than the one it comes with if you have oily eyelids.

Here are some swatches of the eyeshadows, primer and illuminator:

Overall, I really enjoy this palette, and I may even look at the other varieties of this palette that NYC carries. I give this palette an 8/10.
For more information on this palette and to see more shades, you can visit NYC's website HERE.

**Disclaimer: A while ago I was sent this eyeshadow palette as a result of winning a challenge, but receiving it for free does not change my opinion.**

Nail Design of the Week: Featuring Kiss Nail Dress

 A while ago I was sent these stick on nail designs called Kiss Nail Dress  to try and I really enjoyed them, so I purchased more! The pattern I have is called Bustier. They kind of remind me of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips, only these aren't real nail polish. The products are similar, but to me these are a little easier to  put on to me because they are a little more stiff. I really enjoy these because they usually last me around 6-7 days without chipping.
I usually like changing my nail polish more often, but since I am going on vacation I decided to put these on. I didn't really feel like being bothered with packing nail polish and remover. I highly recommend this if you do not change your nail polish often, or if you want a cute design that takes very little application time!

Have you tried Kiss Nail Dress, or anything similar? How often do you like to change your nails?
