Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Plum Wine

Today I am reviewing the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Plum Wine. This product is a cream product and has been know to give people problems with lack of pigmentation, so I decided to buy one of the darker shades.

The blush has a spongy texture, and a consistency that is similar to Playdoh! This is where it gets the name bouncy. It does not actually bounce though; is just has a mold able texture.

Here is a swatch of the blush:

As you can see the color pay-off for this particular shade is pretty good.

Now I will tell you what I like and what I don't like about this particular shade:

Pros: -Lasted on my skin all day and my skin is pretty oily
-Light weight on my skin
-Compact packaging, and does not contain too much excess packaging
-This particular shade had a nice amount of pigmentation
-Price: $7.99 USD
-Can be applied with fingers, and sometimes I use a stippling brush to apply it

Cons: -It can be kind of hard to work with the texture because it molds so easily
-The lighter the shade is the less color payoff it will have

I do enjoy this shade of this product, and I think it works really well on my skin tone. It isn't the most easy to apply, but I still use it very often. The only thing I don't care for is the shade selection of these. Yes, there are many shades, but I am constantly hearing from people that the lighter shades don't show up at all. If you are thinking about purchasing these I would look at the darker shades like plum wine, hot tamale, candy coral, pink frosting, and pink satin. Overall, I give this product a 8 out of 10.
