Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara Review

Today I am reviewing another recent mascara purchase. It is the Maybelline Mega Plus Mascara in Blackest Black. It is a new Gel-Mousse formula that is supposed to make lashes feel more nature and less hard and brittle. This has quickly become one of my favorite drugstore mascaras! If you want to know why keep reading!

Here is the mascara in the packaging:

And here it is outside the packaging. I love the bright blue color of the tube!

Here you can see the wand of the mascara. It has regular brush bristles, and it is tapered on both ends. The wand is sort of flexible because it has a slit in it.This allows for separation and even coating.

Here is a picture of my wearing no mascara

And in this picture I am wearing the mascara

Now I will let you know what I liked and disliked about this product::

Pros:
-Cheap ( I have found this from $5-$7 USD)
-Formula keeps my lashes from feeling hard and brittle
-Last all day without flaking
-Gives me a little separation, a little volume, and a lot of length
-Adds some curl to my eyelashes
-Tube of mascara does not dry out quickly ( I have had this about a month and the formula feels the same still.

Neutral:
-Gives a natural look; your lashes won't look super thick like you have on false eyelashes. Some people may like this effect and others won't. I kind of makes me look like my lashes are just naturally awesome (which isn't exactly true.

Cons:-By the end of the day it had smudged a little bit on my lower lash line. It was nothing too serious though.

Final Verdict: I think this mascara is great for people that want a more natural look. It does pretty well with length, volume, and separation overall; so I believe it is an all around good mascara. If you want big, bold eyelashes that are very dramatic, this is not the mascara for you. It does not give the most volume and length. I do think this is great for everyday though, so I find myself using this the most out of all of my other mascaras! Since it does a nice job in pretty much every category, I give this a 9 out of 10
