NOTD: Blue Ombre Nails

I have tried ombre nails about 3-4 times, and they came out pretty bad every single time. I decided to practice one more time though, and here is the final result:

The colors I used was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue It, and Pacific Blue, and Mary Kay Blue Lotus. For my topcoat I used Revlon Color Stay.

To get this effect I placed stripes of each color on a sponge and applied it to my nails. I did this twice, but if I were to go back and do this again I would do 3 coats because the dark blue looks kind of sheer on some of my nails.

I'm pretty satisfied with how this came out, but I will definitely keep practicing because there's room for improvement! Have you ever tried ombre nails? Would you wear your nails like this?

  20. This looks gorgeous! I tried ombre once and I ended up with 90% dark pink at the tip and 10% of other shades... So not ombre at all. :P
