Review: Urban Decay Deluxe Palette

The Urban Decay Deluxe Palette has been around for a while now! The colors in it always intrigued me, but I never purchased it. However, a few weeks ago when I was ordering from Sephora's website I saw it, and finally decided to get it!

I really love the packaging on this product, and it was the first thing to catch my eye. It is made of cardboard material, and the outside is is a purple, felt material with silver beads across the front.

Inside there is a nice sized mirror, 2 eyeshadow applicators, and the 9 eyeshadows. A small sample of the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is also included with this palette.

Here's a closer look at the eyeshadows. I think the selection is very nice because there's a good mix of neutral and colorful shades. It's also helpful that they included a black shade in here as well.

The shades swatched here are (from left to right): Fishnet, Honey, Ransom, and Graffiti.

And these are the remaining 5 shades (from left to right): Zero, Peace, Shag, Scratch, and Underground.

All of these colors are shimmery with great color payoff! I prefer the formulation of Urban Decay's newer eyeshadows better, but these are still nice quality. These also last all day with a primer. I think this palette would have been perfect if it came with a few matte shades, but I still reach for this all of the time!

Although I don't really use this palette by itself, I think it is still nice for travel because of the variety of colors. I would probably just grab a few matte shades to go with this. If you are interested in trying this palette I would definitely recommend picking it up soon, because it seems to be getting a little harder to find!

Have you tried Urban Decay before? What's your favorite palette?

  1. Urban Decay is my favorite brand so far. I did a review on this palette as well. I'm not sure if you were aware of the sale on Ulta - these have been going for $10 for a while now. Either way, I think this is a great palette, especially for more dramatic looks. Love your swatches! :)

    1. Thanks! And Urban Decay is one of my favorites too! And I actually got this for $10 on sephora's website! But I haven't seen it at sephora or on urban decay's website since then. That's awesome that it's at Ulta though!

    1. I really like honey too! I think it's pretty unique because I don't own any golds that are the same yellow-toned as it!

  3. I have been eyeing this palette as well but couldn't find it on UD's website since they're having a 20%off in their site. I got a different palette since I have never tried UD eyeshadows and all the palettes have great colors in it!
Love your swatches, those are really nice shades! Thanks for the review!
