One of my favorite things to do around this time of year is Christmas nail art, so as soon as it hit December 1st I began playing with different designs! I'm usually one to keep the same nail polish on for a week, but I was so excited that I've changed my nails 3 times already this week. Here are the three designs I came up with:
1.Christmas Present Nails: This is a pretty simple look. I used a red polish on all of my nails, and then I used the white and a toothpick to do the bow on my ring finger. Free hand nail art kind of makes me nervous, but it was pretty easy to do. I added green to the bow on the ring finger a day later too, and I felt like it made the look pop a little more.
2. Christmas Tree Nails with Glitter Tip: To do this I used green on all of my fingers, except I used red on the ring finger. Then I used a migi nail art pen to make the triangle for the Christmas tree, but you can also use a toothpick. After that I put a star stud from a Kiss Nail Artist kit, and I went over the tree with rainbow glitter polish. Lastly I went over my tips with a silver glitter.
3. Snowflake Nails: This is my favorite of the three designs! First I painted my nails with a light blue polish. Then I used a migi nail art pen with silver polish to do the snowflakes on the nails. I went with a simple shape so it would be easy to paint with my non-dominate hand. You can use a tooth pick or a small brush to get this effect as well. Lastly I put little dots all over the remaining part of the nail after the snowflakes were done.
I hope you enjoyed my holiday/winter nail art! There will probably be more to come!
