Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Cherry Blossom Review

I know I've been slacking on the #bigblogmasproject posts the past few days. I don't like to make excuses but I've been pretty sick lately... and then I had finals. Finals+Sickness+Blogmas= O.O I should be back to posting regularly now though!

Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Cherry Blossom
Price: $12
Size: .18 oz

This product comes in plastic packaging that holds the removable pan. It is metal and can be placed in larger palettes or larger compacts that Mary Kay sells.

The shade is a beautiful, medium pink, and I think the swatch on Mary Kay's website makes it looks so much duller than it is in real life! It has a matte finish, and a smooth, blendable texture.

Here is a blended swatch (left) and a concentrated swatch (right):

This color reminds me of those plastic flamingos that people use in their yards, and I don't know why because its a little darker! When I wear this it lasts about 6+ hours on my skin without fading which I think is pretty good. I have longer lasting blushes, but I can't really complain. It would probably last all day on someone with normal or dry skin though.

I use this with a Sigma F40 angled blush brush, and place the product on the apples of my cheeks and blend towards my temples. I have no problems with blending since this isn't overly pigmented.

Cherry Blossom is a shade I go to when I want a natural look. I really like that it's matte and doesn't make me look shinier than I already am. I also like that this can be removed from the packaging and added to a larger Mary Kay custom compact. The price is reasonable too. This is a versatile color that can be used with lots of different looks, so I definitely would repurchase.

Have you tried any Mary Kay Blushes? What's you're go-to blush?

    1. I agree! I really don't wear shimmery blushes that often; I feel like matte looks so much better on my skin!

  2. I have also never tried anything from Mary Kay before. This looks lovely though! And it totally looks flamingo pink to me too!

  3. One of my aunts loves Eye Shadows. May be I can recommend this shade for her to wear with her pink and or Magenta Sarees.
