Rimmel Stay Matte Review
The Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder comes in 7 different shades including the transparent shade. I normally see this priced around $4-5.
Some of the things I enjoy about this product is it's silky, smooth texture. It claims to minimize pores, and I feel like it does a decent job of blurring my pores. It also does not give my complexion a chalky look. I recommend using this with a big, fluffy powder brush to avoid that look.
I've tried lots of different powders since I'm so concerned with controlling my oil, and I'd say this does a pretty decent job of controlling it compared to the other powders I've tried. During the winter I can go 5+ hours without blotting my face, and during the summer I can go about 4 hours. I'm happy with the lasting power on this product because without it my skin would be oily in about 1 hour!
One thing I don't really like about this product is the packaging! I feel like everyone who has this complains about the packaging, but it's just really inconvenient! The plastic lid comes right off without any type of closure mechanism, so it is difficult to travel with.
Even though the packaging annoys me at times, I use this powder often! I like how it looks on my skin, the texture, and the lasting power. I use this to touch up too, so I like that it doesn't add extra coverage or look cakey. I do have setting powders that I like better than this one, like the Tarte Smooth Operator powder, but I still would repurchase this because the price is really good!
