Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial
This lip lacquer comes in a plastic tube, and it has a doe foot applicator. I really like the applicator, and it allows for a lot of accuracy when using this. Also, the shade of the product is shown on the tube, so it's really easy to distinguish which shade is which.
The Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers come in 13 different shades ranging from nude/neutral to bright and dark.
The shade Celestial is a muted pink/mauve-pink. The finish is creamy with a little shine. It isn't as shiny as a gloss though.
In the swatch below you can see that this has great color payoff! Although Rimmel say that this isn't a lipstick or a gloss, I would say this product is like a liquid lipstick.
This Rimmel Show Off Lacquer feels nice on the lips. It isn't moisturizing to me, but it isn't drying either. It did accentuate dry areas on my lips though, so I have to make sure I exfoliate.
The versatility of this product is similar to a lot of lip products I own. It can be layered over a lipstick to change the color or you can apply a gloss over it to add more shine. This color isn't my favorite for my skintone, but I do like to do different lip combos with it!
One of my favorite things about this product is the smell! It smells like watermelon sour candy to me, and I love sour candy. It's funny- when I first opened this product, without even applying this product or looking at the color, I fell in love with it... just because of the smell... gosh I'm so easily satisfied....
To summarize, this product has a good texture and good color payoff. It feels nice, and it also last a pretty good amount of time. I can't really find any faults in this product, other than the shade not being perfect for my skintone. I have found ways to work with it though. I would repurchase this product, but I think I'll go for Galaxy, Big Bang, or Apocaliptic because I think they would suit me better!
Have you tried the Rimmel Show Off (Apocalips) Lip Lacquers? Which shades do you like?
