More Fall Lipsticks! Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Colors

Someone needs to stop me because I can't stop buying fall lipsticks! At least most of the lipsticks I've gotten in the past few weeks are very inexpensive like these Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Colors. There were only $2.99!

I have the shades Cherry Bomb and Vamp It Up which I've seen a lot lately on blogs and in youtube videos!

Cherry Bomb is a deep red color that is a lot deeper than the NYX Alabama lipstick that I posted about a couple week ago. Vamp It Up is an almost-black, purple shade that looks very similar to Mac's Cyber Lipstick. I've been wanting to get Cyber for a while, so I'm excited to have a cheaper alternative!

Both of these have awesome color payoff, and a gorgeous satin finish. The wear time is pretty average lasting me around 4+ hours usually. I highly recommend using a lip liner with any dark shades like these to really enhance the lasting power and minimize feathering outside of your lip line.

Have you started rocking deep, vampy lips for fall? What are some of your favorites?

Paula Dorf 2 + 1 For Brows and Perfect Brow Brush Review

My eyebrows are naturally thick, but I've been trying to get better with cleaning them up and making them look even more bold. Bold brows really complete a look! Lately I've been trying out the Paula Dorf 2 + 1 for Brows which costs $26.00 and is available at

This product comes in 4 different shades: blonde, brunette, natural, and red (the shade I have is brunette). It contains two brow powders and brow wax, all housed in this black plastic container.

There are two different brow powder shades. One shade is a warm, dark brown and a cool, light brown. Below I've swatched both of the brow powders:

Here is a before and after. In the left picture my brows have no product in them (try not to look at that side too long heh heh), and in the picture on the right I'm wearing a mixture of the brow powders, as well as the brow wax. Huge difference, right?

So far I've been enjoying this brow product because it lasts most of the day without smudging. The inclusion of the two warm and cool brow powders is nice because it will work on a lot of people, and the shade range for this product is great! It is also a pretty easy product to use. And the texture of the powders is very soft and smooth, and they blend into the brows flawlessly.

The product that I probably won't use much is the brow wax. It does a nice job of holding the brows in place after applying the brow powder, but I've never really been a fan of brow wax. I'm just don't like the texture it gives my brows.

I also received the Paula Dorf Perfect Brow Brush, and it is a great quality brush! The brow brush is angled, and its stiff hairs allow for precise application. I used this brush in the application above.

Overall, I'm a fan of the 2 + 1 for Brows, and I think it is a nice edition to my makeup routine. The powders allow for a more precise application than pencils, so I can see myself reaching for this over my brow pencils. The price is a little steep, considering I'm not really into brow wax, but the powders are excellent quality. I'm still not sure if I would purchase this when I run out. If you are in the market for good brow powders, you may want to check out the selection on

Bridal Beauty With Loverly

Lots of girls dream of their wedding day, and as a huge makeup lover, I already have ideas in mind for the makeup I would wear at my dream wedding! Loverly is a fantastic site for bridal beauty, decor, food, dresses etc. And they gave me the opportunity to create a makeup look inspired by a beautiful dress that fits my style.

I chose this dress to base my look off of. Isn't it gorgeous?  I like to keep my makeup exciting, but I really like girly, elegant clothes. This dress really fits my style because of the floral detail in the lace, and the high neckline. The floral in the bottom of the dress also adds to that feminine look. And, the lace really gives this dress regal appearance. I decided to go with soft, romantic makeup with a few pops of color. To see other wedding dress styles, click HERE.

I kept the eyes very light, with soft purple hues. To achieve this look, use a light gold or champagne eyeshadow on the inner half of the eyelid, then blend light shades of purple onto the outer half, making sure to keep your strokes light and feathery. Then add a darker shade of purple to the crease, and use a light brown eyeshadow to take some of the harshness away. Smudge the purple underneath the lash line too to add more definition. To bring the brow bone forward, highlight it with a light cream shade. Finish of the look with black or dark brown eyeliner and mascara.

For the rest of my face, I used foundation and concealer to get a flawless look, and then I warmed up and added definition to my complexion using bronzing powder and an orangy blush. And for my eyebrows, I filled them in slightly using a deep brown eyeshadow and used brow gel to hold them in place.

I used two different lipsticks because I think both go great with this look! If you want a bold look, go for a deep red or a berry color, and for something a little more natural, go for a nude lipstick.

Mixed Metals Eye Makeup Look

I wear gold, silver, copper, and bronze eyeshadows all of the time, but I've never worn them all together in a single eye look. Here's a Mixed Metals look I came up with using all of these metallic shades!

I got this look by applying eyeshadow primer, and then using a silver eyeshadow on the inner 1/3 of my eyelid and my inner corner. Then I applied a gold eyeshadow on the middle of my eye lid. Next I took a copper shade and placed it on the outer 1/3 of the eye lid and smudged it underneath the lash line. I took the bronze shade on a blending brush and blended it into the crease and blended it lightly with the copper shade on the outer corner. I used a light brown color similar to my skin tone to blend out the harsh edges above the crease, and highlighted the brow bone with a cream colored eyeshadow.

I finished off the look with winged eyeliner on the upper lash line and black eyeliner on the water line, and I applied mascara to the upper and lower lashes.

Products Used:
-Mary Kay Eyeshadow Primer
-TheBalm Metal-ica (silver), Allegro (light brown), and Adagio (cream)

Mini NYX Fall Lipstick Haul

The weather's beginning to cool down, so of course I had to go shopping for some fall lipsticks! Ulta had a sale on NYX products 2 weeks ago, so I decided to try out some lipsticks that I've never tried before.

I decided to finally try the NYX Macaron Lippies in the shades Chambord (black shade) and Violet. I got the black shade for mixing purposes mainly, but maybe I'll work up the courage to wear it alone! And it is probably no surprise that I also picked up the purple lipstick...

I also wanted to try the NYX Alabama Matte Lipstick which seems to be very popular. It is a gorgeous matte deep red shade. I think it'll be perfect for the holiday season.

And finally, I got the NYX Simply Vamp Lip Cream in She Devil which is a gorgeous deep purple. This is another great shade for fall and winter.

Here's some swatches of each product: (L-R) NYX Macaron Chambord and Violet, NYX Alabama Matte Lipstick, and NYX She Devil Simply Vamp Lip Cream.

I'm on a huge lip product kick right now, so you can expect to see more fall lip products on this site in the near future! I really can't get enough of the dark/vampy shades!

Urban Decay Electric Palette Look #2

Today I have another Urban Decay Electric Palette look to share with you all! I used all the purples and pinks in the palette, and I really love how it turned out!

I got this look by placing Revolt (silver) on the inner half of the eyelid and Jilted (pinky-purple) on the outer half of the eyelid. Then I placed Urban (dark purple) on the outer corner of the eye and blended it into the crease. Then I put Slowburn (bright orange) above the crease to warm up the look, and I finished off the upper eye area with a cream colored eyeshadow to highlight the brow bone.

For the lower lid I smudged Jilted underneath the lash line, and added Urban to the outer half. Then I finished the whole look with the Mary Kay black eyeliner pencil on the upper lash line and the lower water line and Makeup Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara on the eyelashes.

Products Used:
-Mary Kay Eyeshadow Primer
-Urban Decay Electric Palette
-The Balm Adagio Eyeshadow
-Mary Kay Black Retractable Eyeliner
-Makeup Forever Smoky Extravagant Mascara

I hope you enjoyed this look! I know I haven't been posting as much lately, but I'm really going to try to get back to posting at least a couple times a week again.

Urban Decay Electric Palette Look #1

A few weeks ago I hauled the Urban Decay Electric Palette! Here's the first look I came up with:

I used the brightest blue in the palette which is called Chaos. I centered this whole look around that pigment because it was the color I was most excited about! I remember being upset that I didn't get the original Vice palette a couple years ago because this shade was in it, but I was extremely happy to see it again in the Electric Palette!

For this look, I used Chaos (bright blue) all over the eyelid and on the outer half of the lower lash line. Then I used Triple Fudge (dark brown) from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette on the outer corner and in the crease. I also took a small amount underneath the lower lash line. Next I used Milk Chocolate (medium brown) to blend and soften the edges of the crease, and I applied White Chocolate to the brow bone to highlight. Finally I applied Revolt (silver) from the UD Electric to the inner corner and inner half of the lower lash line and finished the look off with eyeliner and mascara.

Products Used:
-Benefit Stay Don't Stray Primer
-Urban Decay Electric Palette
-Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
-Mary Kay Black Retractable Pencil Liner
-Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara

I hope you enjoyed this look! I think it would be nice for winter. Do you like wearing bright eyeshadow?
