Paula Dorf 2 + 1 For Brows and Perfect Brow Brush Review

My eyebrows are naturally thick, but I've been trying to get better with cleaning them up and making them look even more bold. Bold brows really complete a look! Lately I've been trying out the Paula Dorf 2 + 1 for Brows which costs $26.00 and is available at pauladorf.com.

This product comes in 4 different shades: blonde, brunette, natural, and red (the shade I have is brunette). It contains two brow powders and brow wax, all housed in this black plastic container.

There are two different brow powder shades. One shade is a warm, dark brown and a cool, light brown. Below I've swatched both of the brow powders:

Here is a before and after. In the left picture my brows have no product in them (try not to look at that side too long heh heh), and in the picture on the right I'm wearing a mixture of the brow powders, as well as the brow wax. Huge difference, right?

So far I've been enjoying this brow product because it lasts most of the day without smudging. The inclusion of the two warm and cool brow powders is nice because it will work on a lot of people, and the shade range for this product is great! It is also a pretty easy product to use. And the texture of the powders is very soft and smooth, and they blend into the brows flawlessly.

The product that I probably won't use much is the brow wax. It does a nice job of holding the brows in place after applying the brow powder, but I've never really been a fan of brow wax. I'm just don't like the texture it gives my brows.

I also received the Paula Dorf Perfect Brow Brush, and it is a great quality brush! The brow brush is angled, and its stiff hairs allow for precise application. I used this brush in the application above.

Overall, I'm a fan of the 2 + 1 for Brows, and I think it is a nice edition to my makeup routine. The powders allow for a more precise application than pencils, so I can see myself reaching for this over my brow pencils. The price is a little steep, considering I'm not really into brow wax, but the powders are excellent quality. I'm still not sure if I would purchase this when I run out. If you are in the market for good brow powders, you may want to check out the selection on pauladorf.com.

    1. No problem! I've really been liking the accuracy of powder better than pencils! Plus not having to sharpen anything is nice

  3. It looks like it did a nice job of filling in the spaces, I hate when products aren't pigmented enough and you get those sparse patches.

  4. Great review! I'm a huge fan of the Anastasia products, but I'm always on a lookout for more products to try out! I have WAY to many eyebrow products right now though...so not sure if I will buy any more anytime soon, but its always to keep a new product in mind!

  5. Did you find the brow was did anything especially well at keeping the brow powder set and long-lasting? And how easy is it to apply wax? I've never tried wax before and was wondering if it is something you can easily go overboard and screw up.

    1. I felt like the wax really made a difference in the longevity of my brows. Unless I use the wax or a brow gel my brows tend to fade after about 6 hours. And I think it's pretty easy to apply the wax, I usually just run the wax lightly over my brows and then comb them with a spoolie. But, honestly I'm not the best source when it comes to wax cause I can't stand the feeling of any wax from any brand! I'm a gel girl! lol
