Beach Inspired Summer Eye Makeup Tutorial

Step 1: Prime the eyes with an eyeshadow primer, and place a piece of tape at the edge of the eye. This will create a sharp line when removed at the end of the eye makeup application.

Step 2: Blend a cream colored eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight, and blend a medium brown eyeshadow into the crease of the eye.

Step 3: Apply a gold eyeshadow base to the inner half of the eye lid, and place a shimmery gold eyeshadow on top of the cream eyeshadow. Then place a shimmery light blue eyeshadow on the center of the eyelid.

Step 4: Place a medium blue on the outer half of the eye lid, and place a dark blue on the outer 1/3 of the eye lid, overlapping with the medium blue shade. Take a clean blending brush and gently blend the shades making sure there is a seamless gradient from the gold to the dark blue.

Step 5: Apply black gel eyeliner to the upper lash line and on the lower water line. The tape will act as a guide to make the eyeliner application flawless.

Step 6: Remove the tape and apply mascara.

Here's the finished look!

Acid Rain Eye Makeup Look

Today I want to show you all this fun look I did using the Urban Decay Electric Palette! I used different shades of blue and green to create this look, so to find out how I did it, keep reading!

I started this look off with an eye primer, and afterwards I used a fluffy brush to blend a cream colored eyeshadow onto my brow bone to highlight and to apply a medium brown shade in the crease of my eye.

The colors I focused on in the Electric Palette are Fringe, Freak, and Thrash, which you can see in the picture below. I took Fringe on a fluffy blending brush and ran it through my crease, overlapping the area where I place the brown eyeshadow before. Than I took an eyeshadow brush and placed Fringe on the outer 1/3 of my eye lid. I then packed Freak on the center of my lid and Thrash on the inner corner. Then I gently blended the colors to create a nice transition between each shade.

To finish off this look, I applied black pencil eyeliner to my upper and lower lid, and applied my favorite mascara.

Products Used:
-Mary Kay Eye Primer
-Urban Decay Electric Palette (Freak, Trash, and Fringe)
-Paula Dorf Aztec City Palette (cream shade, and medium brown shade)
-Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Zero
-Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Colour Pop Super Shock Cheek in Avalon

Summer is one of the best times to incorporate face highlighters into your makeup routine to achieve that fresh, dewey look! The Colour Pop Super Shock Pearlized line features lots of gorgeous summer highlighters in so many shades. Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the shade Avalon.

This product is only $8.00 and is available at The product comes in a circular, white, plastic container which twists off to reveal a spongy, mousse-like product inside.

As I mentioned above, the texture of this product is soft and creamy to the touch, however, when I apply this too my skin it seems to dry to a powder finish. My favorite way to apply this is with a small, synthetic blush brush or with my fingers. I apply this product to whatever areas that I want to bring light to my face, such as my cheek bones, brow bones, and cupids bow.

The color is a warm golden bronze shade which looks amazing on deeper skin tones. If your complexion is a little lighter, you may want to check out the lighter pearlized cheek colors, such as Lunch Money, Wisp, or Highly Waisted. Check out the Colour Pop site because there's lots of gorgeous highlighters to choose from.

Here is a swatch of Avalon:

On my skin this lasts very well. It doesn't slip and slide around once it sets, and I can get all-day lasting power depending on the foundation, primer, and powders I use with it.

I now see why Colour Pop products are so hyped up. This product is gorgeous, has good lasting power, and has a cheap price tag! If you have a deep complexion, I think you'll really enjoy this product!

What is your favorite product from Colour Pop?

Spongelle Infused Boxed Flower Body Buffer and Pedi Buffer Review

I'm a huge fan of at-home-spa days and the Spongelle Infused Body Buffer and Pedi Buffer are perfect additions to my routine!

The flower shaped body buffer is body wash infused and lasts at least 14 uses. It is priced at $16.00 on I love the bright packaging, and it's also nice that the sponge itself has a ribbon on it. I use it to hang the sponge to dry.

To use this product, I take it with me into the shower or bath, and wet it to release the body wash. The scent that I have here, Ginger Bergamot, smells amazing once you wet the sponge and lather up the product on your body. Using this sponge allows for cleaning, massaging, and exfoliating the skin without having to add a body wash.

The Pedi Buffer is very similar, however, it lasts 30+ washes. It is also available for $16.00 and comes in a colorful box like the body buffer. I use this the same way as I use the body buffer, but this product is a little stiffer and works well to buff away dead, rough skin from the feet. The scent I have is beach grass which smells very fresh and clean.

If you are looking for affordable products to pamper yourself at home, check out these buffers and the other products on! These product works well, smell great, and would work great as gifts!

Amazing Cosmetics Line Smoother + Primer

Primer is so important when it comes to makeup application. They can really amplify the effects of the products that you apply on top of them, and most of them improve the appearance and longevity of your makeup. An excellent primer for the under-eye, around the mouth, and between the brows is the Amazing Cosmetics Line Smoother + Primer which is marketed as a product that reduces the appearance of fine lines while also hydrating, firming, and prepping the skin for flawless makeup application. It is available at as well as sephora and ulta for $35.00.

I love that this product comes in squeeze-tube packaging because it makes the product very easy to dispense. The tube has tiny silver balls which you can use to smooth the primer underneath your eyes. These little balls sooth the under-eyes, mouth, and between the brows by creating a cooling sensation as you apply the product.

The product itself is a translucent white shade that turns clear when you smooth is onto your skin. The first thing I did when I got this primer was squeeze a little out and smooth it onto my hand and I was in disbelief at how soft it made my hand feel. It has a similar texture to most silicone primers however, it is unique in that it contains anti-aging ingredients.

It can be frustrating when you put concealer under your eyes and in no time the product has already settled into your lines and has started to crease. But since I've been using this product, I haven't had to worry about my concealer moving around and settling in my lines. I can see why this is such a holy grail product for makeup artists around the world!

If have any of the issues I've listed above, you have to try this primer! Not only does is contain great ingredients for the skin, but it also makes my makeup look better and last longer. The price may seem high, but a little bit goes a very long way! I think it's worth every penny, and I will keep purchasing this when I run out.

Alo Ivory Shea Butter Review

I've recently been enlightened to all of the uses of shea butter! The shea butter that I have been using lately is the Alo Ivory Shea Butter which is high-quality, 100% shea butter that can be used for lots of skin and hair issues such as acne, eczema, dryness, and stretch marks. It can also be used to keep your hair healthy and shiny. If you are interested in keeping your skin and hair healthy with a single, natural product, check out the website HERE.

This product comes in a large, 16 oz jar, and I can already tell that this product is going to last a long time. A little bit goes such a long way! I've been using it almost daily for the past two weeks and I've barely made a dent!

The texture of this product is so smooth and it leaves my skin feeling so silky. The thing I can't stand about using lotions and body butters is that they leave my skin feeling very greasy, and sometimes the scents are overwhelming. I don't have either of those problems with this product, so it's all I've been using to moisturize my skin.

I always have problems with dry hands, lips, elbows, and knees, and I can happily say that these problems have pretty much vanished since I've been using the Alo Shea Butter. It is also so soothing to use this product after shaving. To moisturize, I scoop some product out and warm is up between my finger tips. Then I apply it to my body similarly to how I apply lotion.

And to clear nasal passages, this shea butter can be placed on the inside of the nostrils! I've been so sick and congested because I thought it would be a good idea to go ice skating in July! I feel better about using this product than using product with lots of chemicals and ingredients I can't pronounce.

As you can see, the possibilities are endless when it comes to shea butter uses! Whether you mix it with essential oils to create homemade beauty products, or use it on its own to ease skin issues, this product will work wonders for you!
