Update 3/22/15

I feel like I haven't posted on here in forever, but it's really only been a week! I know I said in previous posts that I would try to post more often but my school work has been consuming me for the past month. I just wanted to make this post letting you all know that my classes don't end until the end of April, so for the next month I'll probably be very light on posting. To all you other bloggers out there, you know that it is so difficult to write when you're not in the mood or feel drained. I really don't want to force the process and make mediocre posts. I know this time will go by quickly though, and I'll be back to blogging regularly! Okay I'm done being dramatic, I hope you all are doing well!

Transitioning to Spring | Eye Makeup Look

As promised in my last post, here's a look using the 2nd Love Cosmetics Glitzy Glam Eye Palette in Blitz Glitz. It features gorgeous shimmery eyeshadows which I think are perfect for spring.

To achieve this look, I primed my eyelids with an eyeshadow primer. Then I blended a matte cream colored eyeshadow from Mary Kay onto my brow bone to highlight the area. Then I blended a medium brown eyeshadow into the crease. I placed the 2nd shade from the left in the 2nd Love Cosmetics palette on the inner half of my eye lid. And on the middle I placed Jilted from the Urban Decay Electric Palette. To finish of the eyeshadow, I took the dark gray shade from the 2nd Love Cosmetics Palette and smudged it under my lower lash line.

After all the eyeshadow was completed, I used Maybelline's gel eyeliner to create winged eyeliner, and I also placed it in the water line.

I called this look "Transitioning to Spring" because I wore a brownish lip color with this look that gives it a slight winter-y look. I used the Mary Kay lip liner in Cappuccino and lip stick in Sienna Brulee.

I hope you all try out this Spring look! It can always be toned down even more by replacing the bright pink with a neutral shade!

And I wanted to let you all know that school has been killing me lately; that's why I haven't been posing as often. I'm trying to get back into posting a couple times a week at least though. Let me know if you have any requests on posts you would like to see!

2nd Love Cosmetics Review!

2nd Love Cosmetics is a brand I've heard a little about in the past, but I had never tried. Thankfully, they reached out to me to try out some of their products, and I'm very impressed so far!

The first product I tried was the Luxe Lace Lipstick which costs $5.59 and comes in 12 different shades. I have the shade Dainty, which is a gorgeous hot pink. The packaging is very pretty, and the product has a great vanilla scent. I'm happy with the comfortable texture and decent lasting power on this lipstick. It does accentuate dry patches on my lips though, so I have to make sure to exfoliate before applying this.

The Pout Plumping Lip Gloss is $4.99 and comes in 6 different shades. The shade I have here is called Soul Mate, and it's a medium-pink shade. The gloss has nice color payoff, while still giving that sheer, glossy appearance. When first applied, I notice the tingling sensation, but I don't notice much plumping. My lips are already pretty full on their own, so I'm not sure if this would be more effective on others. I do really like this gloss though, and it's not sticky in the slightest!

Warmer weather is coming soon, and I always start reaching for cream cheek products when it gets warm outside. The Quick Stick Cream Blush is my favorite product. It is a cream blush in stick form, and it costs $4.99. It's available in 6 shades, and I have the shade Catalina. This gorgeous warm pink shade easily glides onto my skin and blends effortlessly. And it lasts almost all day on my skin. I definitely want to try more of these in the future. And did I mention that this product smells like raspberry candy?! I love it!

Here are swatches (from left to right) of the Cream Blush, the Lipstick, and the Lip Gloss.

The Rose Mascara, which is $4.99, claims to give "romantic and dramatic eyes" and I agree with that statement.  The wand is thick and has very tiny, short bristles, so it gives volume, while also making the lashes look separated and feathery. And the formula is on the dry side, so it doesn't weigh down the lashes. I really like how this made my lashes look!

The Glitzy Glam Eye Palette comes in 4 different shades and costs $4.99. The shade I have here is called Blitz Glitz, and it contains 5 gorgeous, shimmery shadows. Each of these shadows is very unique because of the multicolored aspect. When you swirl your brush into the shadow, mixing the colors, you get a color slightly different than you would expect when looking at the pan. These colors are great for the upcoming spring season.

The Baked Eyeshadow Duos are $8.99 and come in 4 different shades, which each contain to beautiful shadows. The shade pictured below is called Go Green and it contains a light green with finely milled golden shimmer, and a dark, olive green. These shadows were smooth, and easy to blend and work with, and I was impressed with the quality because I don't normally like baked eyeshadows

Here are swatches of the Glitzy Glam Eye Palette, and the Baked Eyeshadow Duo:

And in this look I used all of the products talked about here except the Glitzy Glam Eye Palette (I'll have a spring makeup tutorial posted soon using that palette):
