NOTW | Incoco Nail Polish Applique in Party Crasher

I've featured Incoco nail products on my blog before (here and here), and if you saw my previous posts, you know I'm a big fan of these nail appliques. The designs are gorgeous, and they're so easy to apply. This week I am wearing the Incoco Nail Polish Applique in Party Crasher which is available on their site for $7.99.

This gorgeous design features a black base with green and blue glitter. But the best part is that you don't have to deal with the struggle of trying to get glitter nail polish off. These appliques normally last me around two weeks with minimal wear at the tips of my nails.

If you haven't tried anything from Incoco yet, check out their site! They have lots of pretty designs to choose from!

2nd Love Cosmetics Cucumber Deep Cleansing Peel Off Mask

Today I'll be review the 2nd Love Cosmetics Cucumber Deep Cleansing Peel Off Mask, which is another product that they sent me for winning their spring makeup contest. As soon as I saw this, I couldn't wait to try it out! Do you guys get lots of satisfaction from using peel off masks? Because I do! This costs only $2.99 and is available online at 2ndlovecosmetics.com.

When you open the packet and squeeze out the product, it is clear, and is a jelly consistency. Then you smooth it onto the face in even layers. Make sure you avoid the under eye area and your eyebrows! I mistakenly got some of this on my eyebrows and it was a pain to get off without tugging the hair too much.

Then you let it sit on your face for around 15 minutes. When it's time to peel it off, peel slowly from the bottom of your face, and if it hurts (cause the mask might grab on to any facial hair) take a wet towel and dab it over the mask before attempting to peel again. After I finished with the mask, I rinsed my face and applied some moisturizer.

Of course after peeling off the mask, I had to look at it closely to see if it pulled any gunk out of my pores, and it sure did! I know that kind of gross, but I know we all secretly like seeing what it did.

This mask is inexpensive, refreshing, and effective. It left my skin clean and soft, and it wasn't difficult to remove. I'll definitely be repurchasing this, and I think you all should try it too!

2nd Love Cosmetics Glitzy Glam Eye Palette in Modest Glam

I promised reviews on the products I won in the 2nd Love Cosmetics spring makeup contest, and here's the first one! The 2nd Love Cosmetics Glitzy Glam Eye Palette in Modest Glam is an eye palette that comes with 5 beautiful shades of orange, peach, and pastel purple hues. It costs $4.99 on 2ndlovecosmetics.com.

These shades all have a very smooth texture, and blend easily. They don't feel as soft and buttery as some brands, but they definitely aren't powdery. When I use these shades I get small amounts of glitter/shimmery fall out, but nothing that can't easily be swept away with a fan or powder brush.

On the eyes these lasts at least 8 hours on my with a primer. The darker shades last a lot longer on my eyes without fading than the lighter shades.

The cool thing about this palette is that each shade has a mix of different colors in it, so the color when swatched can look very different from how it looks in the pan. Check out these swatches to see what I'm talking about:

Here's a look I did a few days ago using this palette. I was able to create a very soft, summery look with it.

To summarize, this is a inexpensive palette with beautiful, summery shades, smooth eyeshadows, and reliable lasting power. If you're looking for a palette with pretty peachy/orange shades, give this one a try!

Weekend Trip Essentials | #UnderWarrior

I just got back on a short trip to go to a family member's graduation, and when I go on short excursions, is can be difficult for me to decide on a practical amount of beauty products. As a notorious over-packer, I think I did a decent job of lowering my beauty bag to the essentials.

Here are all my Weekend Trip Essentials, and keep reading to find out how to get free samples of one of these products!

Since I had to be outside for long periods of time, I kept the foundation light with the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick in 355. To set my face I brought my favorite powder, the Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder in 95 Coconut, which has great coverage and controls shine. To cover a few problem areas I used the LA Girl Pro Conceal in Fawn. For blush I went with the 2nd Love Cosmetics Quick Stick Cream Blush in Lavish, and for a highlight, I used the Maybelline Master Hi-Light in 40 Mauve. And to set my face and take away the powdery look, I used the Mary Kay Setting Spray.

I think this is the least amount of eye products I've ever brought with me on a trip! I brought the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze to use as a base for my eyeshadows. The eyeshadow palette I bought was the Paula Dorf Aztec City Eyeshadow Palette, which has a nice mix of neutral shades. For eyeliner I took the Maybelline Master Graphic Liquid Eyeliner and the Mary Kay Black Pencil Liner. The mascara I chose was the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, which has recently become a favorite of mine. Finally, for brows, I brought the 2nd Love Eyebrow Compact to try, since I hadn't used it before. So far it's been working well for me.

Since I kept the eye products pretty neutral, I went with some fun, bold lip colors. The first is the 2nd Love Cosmetics Lipstick in Royalty, which is a bright orange, and the other is the Maybelline Vivid Lipstick in Brazen Berry, which is a bright purple color. I also brought the Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in Berry Bomb, which is a lightly tinted berry shade.

You can check out my the skincare products I took by checking out my last post, but these are a few more products that I had to mention. I brought some tropical body care products from Bath and Body Works: the Maui Body Lotion, and the Carried Away Body Spray. And finally, the most important product here would have to be the U by Kotex Clean Wear Pads with 3d Capture Core. I mentioned these pads in a post about a year ago, and yes, they are still the only kind of pad I use! The 3d Capture Core technology keeps wetness locked away from your body, so it will keep you feeling fresh for longer. For free samples of tampons, pads, or liners, visit this site.

I hope you all enjoyed reading about my essentials for short trips! Let me know what your essentials are, and don't miss out on the free samples I talked about above!

Today’s post is sponsored by U by Kotex, but my love for their pads and tampons are all my own!

Skincare Routine 2015

I can't even remember the last time I updated you guys on my most used skincare products. I used to get caught up in trying lots of new things, but recently I've tried to minimize the products I use everyday. For reference, I have oily, somewhat acne-prone skin.

These are the products I use on a daily basis:

1. Mary Kay Clear Proof Cleanser: This product contains salicylic acid, which is an acne fighting ingredient. I find that this does a nice job of keeping my acne-prone skin controlled, and my face feels so fresh after using it. I also like the gel consistency, and it works up a pretty rich lather.

2. Mary Kay Clear Proof Toner: This product also has salicylic acid. I use it right after cleansing as another acne controlling step, and in order to restore the natural ph of my skin. I apply this by squirting a little onto a cotton pad and wiping it all over my face, avoiding the eye area. This is a great toner because it doesn't feel extremely drying on the face.

3. Modere Antioxidant Gel: This gel contains lots of vitamin c, so it has helped my skin with lightening dark marks from acne scars. After smoothing this on, my skin feels extremely soft, similar to the feel of silicone primers.

4. L'Oreal Ideal Moisture Day Lotion: I started using this one day just because I ran out of the moisturizer I normally use, and I have loved this ever since! And I have been using this same bottle forever because it lasts so long. This makes my face feel so smooth and hydrated, but it doesn't feel too heavy on my oily skin. It's also nice that it contains SPF.

These the products I use a few times a week:

5. Mary Kay Facial Cleansing Cloths: I use these to take off my makeup whenever I wear it. I think these wipes are pretty cool because they are dry and you use water to activate the cleanser. I like these wipes because they do a great job of removing all of my face makeup and my eye makeup with one wipe.

6. InstaNatural Dead Sea Mud Mask: Anytime my skin starts acting up and breaking up, I use this mask to dry up the spots. It is very powerful, and it also works very well to control my oil.

7. Japanese Konjac Sponge: I use this sponge a few times a week with my cleanser to for a deep cleanse. It works as a gentle exfoliator too.

What products are most important to your skincare routine? Have you tried any of these?

IM BACK!! And I Won A Contest!?!

I did not blog for the entire month of April because of the massive amounts of school work I had. But now that I'm done with the semester, I'm making a comeback! I've really missed all of you. My little break was much needed, but I'm ready to start writing and sharing reviews and tutorials again.

But first, (this is late) but I won the 2nd Love Cosmetics Spring Makeup Contest at the end of March! I'm so grateful; seriously, I never EVER win things like that, so it came as a huge surprise.

Here was my entry:

And these are the awesome prizes I got for winning!

My next post will be reviewing these 2nd Love Cosmetics Products. Lots of the shades are awesome for Spring and Summer. And again, I'm so glad to be back posting on here. Let me if you have any review/tutorial requests that you would like me to do soon!
