e.l.f. Voxbox November 2016

Influenster has allowed me to try their latest Voxbox (if you don't know what influenster is, click here), and this one features E.l.f. products. I've been using Elf for so long- probably, since I was in middle school, and watching there products evolve from the Elf essentials line, to these new line had been interesting. The products in this box are supposed to be geared towards healthy skin, so if you want to know if these actually did anything for me, keep scrolling.

E.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask: This product is so weird. A good weird. It's like any other mask that you spread all over your face until a few minutes pass and it starts bubbling. Such a strange sensation, but I enjoyed it. This bubbly foam is supposed to remove excess dirt and cleanse pores. My skin does feel very clean after I use this, so it does what it claims. Also the packaging is cool. The product pumps out the top so it's sanitary. Overall, I think this is a fun product to try if you deal with clogged pores, but it's nothing life-changing if you don't have an issue with that.

E.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer: This primer claims to make your skin silky smooth for makeup application, and this claim is very accurate. It feels like your average silicone primer, and if you like that texture then you will probably enjoy this primer. I don't usually like slippery, silicone primers, but I still tested this anyway. It makes my makeup last longer, and I notice my skin got less oily throughout the day. I might have to suck it up and deal with the texture. There's nothing really wrong with it, just a personal preference. Also, it's important to note that his doesn't feel slippery once you put makeup on top of it. And this primer comes in corrector shades as well.

E.l.f Matte Lip Color: I got this in the shade Wine, which is gorgeous for fall and winter (you can see a swatch below). I like that this product is matte, but not super drying. As long as I exfoliate, my lips still look nice and smooth with this product on, and it lasts for several hours. I wish this shade was a little more opaque, as I felt like I had to go over my lips in a couple layers to make the shade even. Other than that, I really like this product, and I can see myself buying the other shades.

E.l.f. Lip Exfoliator: I was so excited to try this because I've heard so many people rave about it. It's so nice to have a lip exfoliator in a tube form because it isn't as messy. I just work this onto my lips and it buffs away all the dead skin. This is a great prep product for matte lipsticks, and it's cheap!

E.l.f. Baked Highlighter & Bronzer: Or should I say Highlighter and Highlighter because both these shades can work as a highlight on my skin tone. As you can see from the swatches below, these shades are pretty. They are a tad flakey since the product is baked though. Wetting your brush transforms this product. I don't have a swatch of the product wet right here, but take my word for it- wetting your brush transforms any baked product! I do like this, and it lasts pretty much the whole day on my face. I'm interested in trying their other baked highlighter shades.

Hope you enjoyed these quick reviews. If you try any of these products here. I'd recommend the lip color and the lip exfoliator. Have you tried any of these products?

IT Cosmetics has come out with another It's Your Top 5 Superstars & More set for this year. I thought last years set was awesome, but this one is even better. Looking for a great holiday gift? Keep reading to see what's in the box!

I've said it so many times, but the Heavenly Skin Foundation brush is the softest brush I've ever tried. I went into detail about this fluffy dome shaped brush here, but to summarize, it soft, durable, easy to clean, and great for liquid or powder foundation!

The Superhero Mascara is another favorite of mine, so I'm so happy to have a backup! I did a fully review on this product in this post, but in short, this mascara is great if you like a good combo of length and volume. Seriously, I always get asked if I'm wearing false eyelashes when I have this on.

The Brow Power Universal Eye Brow Pencil pops up in my makeup looks/tutorials pretty, often. I was happy to see this product in this box because I just ran out of my old one. I love that this brow powder works on lots of different skin tones depending on how hard you make your brush strokes. It also has a spoolie on the opposite end of the brow powder. This really is an all in one product!

I just raved about the Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Lip Color in my last IT Cosmetics post! If my positive reviews of the previous few products did not convince you to buy this box, my thoughts on this product surely will! I use this product ever. single. day. without fail! If I want I nice, natural lip look for the day, I put this on, and I use it as a lip treatment at night and wake up to baby soft lips. Lips dry from all the matte lip colors? Use this to revitalize them. Seriously, if you try nothing else from this set, please try this product!

Though I use the illumination version of this more frequently, I think the Bye Bye Undereye Concealer is a great, classic IT Cosmetics product. In fact, this is the first product I'd ever tried from this brand, and I've clearly been hooked ever since! This concealer is full coverage, and provides anti aging benefits. It's definitely a great addition to this set.

And finally, the Celebration Foundation Illumination is the last product in this set. I haven't used this in a while since I've been so hooked on the Bye Bye Pores Powder, so I forgot how much I like this product. This foundation gives you an amazing glow. It isn't too overwhelming, but it gives you a similar effect to highlighting. I use this on nights where I really want to amplify the glow, but it works great as an everyday foundation, since it makes you look so youthful and radiant.

This set impressed me. It included so many of my favorites, and I think it would be a great set to give to someone as a gift, or to treat yourself! At $60 dollars, you seriously can't beat this price. The foundation and concealer priced alone are almost $60 dollars, so you are getting an amazing deal with this set! Visit asap because this deal is only available today!

POPSUGAR has given me the opportunity to try their October Must Haves subscription box,  and before I get into what is actually in this box, I just have to say that this is by-far the best box I've received from them. This is mostly because all of the items in this box are things that I love/was planning on purchasing anyway very soon.

If you know me, you know I love to read (and write obviously), so the fact that Lisa Sugar, the founder of POPSUGAR'S,  book was included in this box made me extremely happy. This was probably the item I was most excited to see. I haven't gotten very far into it yet, but it is about positivity. Inspiration/self help books are some of my favorites to read.

Another thing I love is mugs. Seriously. You should see my kitchen cabinets. This Rise & Shine Mug from Morning Culture  is so cute. It goes perfect with the My Cup of Cocoa Dark Drinking Chocolate. This Cocoa mix works with any type of milk, but I used 2% and it tasted great!

Ask any of my friends. I've been talking about how I need a new black liquid liner for the whole week, so needless to say, I was ecstatic when I saw that the Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in Black was included in this box. The tiny ball at the end of this tip causes a small learning curve, but it is very black, and very long-lasting.

I've heard awesome things about the Makeup Eraser, so I'm happy to try out this mini size. All you do is wet this product with warm water, and it takes off your makeup. I haven't tried this product yet, but if you want I can do a full review if any of you all are curious to see if this product really works!

As a bath fanatic- actually you probably already know I'm going to rave about this product, seeing as how I've raved about everything so far. The Lalalicious Brown Sugar Vanilla Shower Oil and Bubble Bath has an amazing scent. It leaves my skin soo smooth. I used it as a Shower Oil this morning, but I plan on using this as a bubble bath very soon, since the smell is so relaxing and perfect for fall.

This product caught me way off guard! The Henri Bendel Packable Umbrella retails for more than this subscription box costs! It comes in the adorable, signature, Henry Bendel print, and I love that it's small enough to stick in most of my purses or backpacks.

This box also came with a few coupons so you can save on Lalicious, Henri Bendel, and Revlon products in the future.

At $39.95 a month, The POPSUGAR Must Have box is an excellent value. All of the products in this box retail for over $153 dollars, so you are definitely getting a great deal. If you are able to get this monthly subscription, I highly recommend it!

Studio Gear Impactfull Pro T.L.S. Mascara and Invincible Gel Liner Review

Hey guys! Studio Gear has kindly sent me their Impactfull Mascara, Invincible Gel Liner, and #31 Invincible Liner Brush to try out. I was pretty excited to use these because I've been a fan of Studio Gear products for a while now.

Lets start off with the mascara. The Impactfull Mascara features a pretty standard bristle brush with a cylindrical, but tapered shape. I find the size of the want perfect for my eyes, and I prefer bristles to plastic wants because I feel like they grab every single lash. The formula is very nice too. It is pretty lightweight, so my lashes don't clump together or get weighed down by the product. On my lashes, this product provides be with some volume and a whole lot of length. It's probably going to be my go-to daily mascara for the time being. If you want to see a full review, I did one last year!

The Invincible Gel Liner in Earth (Brown) is an excellent formula. The swatch below on my arm would not come off until I scrubbed it with eye makeup remover. On my eyes it lasts all day long. My favorite ways to wear it are in a thin line across my upper lashes, smudged on my lower lash line, and smoked out on my upper lash line as a base for smokey eyes. I highly recommend checking out this product if you are in need of a long lasting, gel liner.

The #31 Invinvible Liner Brush is nice for smudging and creating thick lines. I think a thinner brush would be easier to use with the Gel Liner though. The brush is, however, soft, easy to clean, and the handle seems very sturdy.

Overall, I like these products, and you can definitely expect to see the mascara and liner featured in future makeup looks. I'm thinking of doing a full face using all Studio Gear products very soon. Have you tried any Studio Gear products? Let me know below in the comments!

BERRY FALL Makeup Look

I promised you drama in my last post, so here it is! This fall look is nice for a night out, whereas my last look was pretty suitable for day time. This look was pretty simple to achieve so keep reading to find out how I did it!

For the eyes, I primed them with eyeshadow primer, and then took a cool toned, taupe-brown color into my crease. Afterwards I highlighted my brow bone with matte cream shade. Then on to the fun part: the purples! I placed a medium shimmery purple shade all over my lid and on my lower lash line, and built the depth from there. On the outer half of my eye I used a deeper purple, and on the outer corner I used a dark-almost black brown. I took a clean blending brush and blended the darker shades into the browns in the crease of my eye. Then to add some brightness to the eye, I used an irredecent pink shade on the inner corner of my eyes. I finished off the look with winged eyeliner on the top lid, pencil liner on the lower lid, and mascara.

I kept the face simple, since I wanted to go for a bold lip. I primed my face, and used foundation and concealer to correct my imperfections. Then after setting my makeup with a translucent powder, I highlighted my cheekbones, and down the bridge of my nose. I also warmed up my complexion with a powder foundation that is darker than my skin tone. And Finally I applied the lip color.

Natural BASIC Fall Makeup Look 2016

This makeup look can only be described with the word BASIC. Cranberry and gold eyes, golden highlight, and a berry lip- replicate this look and you'll be identical to all the bloggers, youtubers, and instagramers! All jokes aside though, this has been one of my favorite daily looks. The eyes aren't crazy dramatic (I don't add the falsies on a daily basis). If you haven't seen enough tutorials on this look yet on blogs and youtube, keep reading!

I started of this look with eyes to avoid getting fallout on my face makeup. I primed my eyes using eye primer. Then I used the mid tone browns in the 5 color Paula Dorf palette pictured below in my crease to begin adding definition. Next I added deeper browns in the crease to amp up to definition in that area, and after that I added the almost black-purple shade from the 10 color Born Pretty Store Palette, also pictured below. I concentrated this color mostly on the outer corner of my eyes and blended the remaining product into the crease. Then I took a sparkly black eyeshadow and ran it along the outer corners of my lower lash line. Finally, I placed the terracotta color, and the gold color on my lid (mixed together).

I finished off the eyes with liquid eyeliner with a baby wing, mascara, and false eyelashes.

The face was pretty simple as well. I primed my face, applied foundation and concealer, and applied my blush and highlight. Then I warmed up my face and contoured with a powder foundation darker than my skin tone. Then I finished the look with a loose powder which muted the color of the blush, highlighter, and contour shades. This really made the look more daytime friendly.

I finished off the whole look with a lip treatment which I put on before my matte, berry lip color!

POPSUGAR Must Have Box September!

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to try the September POPSUGAR Must Have Box, and share my thoughts with you all. This box was very different from the last box I reviewed, so keep reading to see what kind of products were featured this month!

The Jack and Lucy Bicoastal Wide Brim Hat: I was really excited to see a hat in this box! I've been wanting a cute one for fall, so this came in right in time. It is an all black, wide-brim hat with a very soft texture. It looks really cute paired with any fall look, like sweaters, dresses, cardigans, etc.

Retails for $58

Briogeo Deep Conditioning Mask: This mask revitalized my dry hair. I especially have issues with the ends of my hair feeling dry and breaking off, so I'm hoping continued use of this product will continue to make my hair softer.

Retails for $36

Smith & Cult Lip Lacquer in The Warning: This product caught me extremely off guard simply because it is called a "lip lacquer," and I guess with the liquid lipstick trend I expected it to be very opaque. Upon application I realized that it is translucent, but the red shade is still gorgeous. It is more of a gloss than a lacquer but I still enjoy the product. It is good for more natural looks, and the gloss is not sticky or uncomfortable on the lips at all!

Retails for $22

Flint Lint Roller: This is the coolest lint roller I've ever seen! The metal packaging is really fancy, and the bottom of the product twists up like a lip balm to reveal the lint roller. If you find yourself using lint rollers a lot, you might want to try this out because you can easily travel with it and avoid a sticky mess. It's also refillable!

Retails for $9.99

The Gluten Free Dark Chocolate Coconut Bites: I can't stand the taste of coconut, but I tried these for the sake of this review. I'm kind of iffy on the flavor. I like the chocolate aspect. It makes the coconut flavor a little more tolerable, but I can't really get past the texture. If you like chocolate and coconut, you might like these better than I did! The Gluten Free Bar brand has a lot of other products though, so I'm interested in trying those out.

Retails for $4.99

NCLA Mani-ER Tool Kit: This nail set is so nice! It has every tool you need to take good care of your nails. I've only used the nail clipper and the scissors so far, but they seem very sturdy. I think they'll last a very long time. The case is also very nice! I can see myself keeping this in my purse or throwing it in my cosmetic bag for travel.

Retails for $16

This box introduced me to a lot of interesting products! The hat is a great addition to my wardrobe, and the nail kit and lint roller are really travel friendly. I did not care much for the Chocolate Coconut Bites, but I'm sure that you'll like them if you like Coconut. Overall, I like this box even better than the July box that I reviewed a little while ago because I can see myself using these products on a regular basis.
