e.l.f. Voxbox November 2016
Influenster has allowed me to try their latest Voxbox (if you don't know what influenster is, click here), and this one features E.l.f. products. I've been using Elf for so long- probably, since I was in middle school, and watching there products evolve from the Elf essentials line, to these new line had been interesting. The products in this box are supposed to be geared towards healthy skin, so if you want to know if these actually did anything for me, keep scrolling.
E.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask: This product is so weird. A good weird. It's like any other mask that you spread all over your face until a few minutes pass and it starts bubbling. Such a strange sensation, but I enjoyed it. This bubbly foam is supposed to remove excess dirt and cleanse pores. My skin does feel very clean after I use this, so it does what it claims. Also the packaging is cool. The product pumps out the top so it's sanitary. Overall, I think this is a fun product to try if you deal with clogged pores, but it's nothing life-changing if you don't have an issue with that.
E.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer: This primer claims to make your skin silky smooth for makeup application, and this claim is very accurate. It feels like your average silicone primer, and if you like that texture then you will probably enjoy this primer. I don't usually like slippery, silicone primers, but I still tested this anyway. It makes my makeup last longer, and I notice my skin got less oily throughout the day. I might have to suck it up and deal with the texture. There's nothing really wrong with it, just a personal preference. Also, it's important to note that his doesn't feel slippery once you put makeup on top of it. And this primer comes in corrector shades as well.
E.l.f Matte Lip Color: I got this in the shade Wine, which is gorgeous for fall and winter (you can see a swatch below). I like that this product is matte, but not super drying. As long as I exfoliate, my lips still look nice and smooth with this product on, and it lasts for several hours. I wish this shade was a little more opaque, as I felt like I had to go over my lips in a couple layers to make the shade even. Other than that, I really like this product, and I can see myself buying the other shades.
E.l.f. Lip Exfoliator: I was so excited to try this because I've heard so many people rave about it. It's so nice to have a lip exfoliator in a tube form because it isn't as messy. I just work this onto my lips and it buffs away all the dead skin. This is a great prep product for matte lipsticks, and it's cheap!
E.l.f. Baked Highlighter & Bronzer: Or should I say Highlighter and Highlighter because both these shades can work as a highlight on my skin tone. As you can see from the swatches below, these shades are pretty. They are a tad flakey since the product is baked though. Wetting your brush transforms this product. I don't have a swatch of the product wet right here, but take my word for it- wetting your brush transforms any baked product! I do like this, and it lasts pretty much the whole day on my face. I'm interested in trying their other baked highlighter shades.
Hope you enjoyed these quick reviews. If you try any of these products here. I'd recommend the lip color and the lip exfoliator. Have you tried any of these products?
