Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara and Clis Booster XL Mascara Base Review

Influenster had graciously given me the opportunity to try the Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara, and I couldn't be happier. This is the first Lancome product I've ever tried.

This mascara is $25, and the primer, which was also included in this package is $25.50.

Honestly, this post doesn't even have to be that long because if you look at the picture below, you can see how well this mascara works. It gave me so much volume, it looks like I have on eyeliner. And my lashes look as long as false lashes. I was very impressed with this combo. They are also long lasting- almost waterproof.

The only thing I will say is that the mascara on it's own does not give my lashes as much length as it does with the mascara base. They work so well together. Also, if you purchase this mascara beware of clumps! Really take your time and put it on because "volumizing"equates to the possibility of clumps.

Yes, together these products are $50+, but that is about an average price point for this brand. I'm not going to say that one needs to run out and by these products immediately because the price is steep. But if you are in the market for a fabulous high end duo, these products will not disappoint!

If you haven't tried the Popsugar Must Have subscription box, nows the time! Use the coupon code "SHOP5" for $5 off your first box. Here are all the great products I received in the June box!

This box was impressive as usual! It came with a great assortment of products, and a lot of them are great for these hot summer months.

Here's the beautiful packaging you are presented with upon first opening this box:

This little pamphlet details every item in the box and it's retail value.

First up is the Aloha Collection Mid Size Ocean Coco Palms Pouch. This is great for the beach and the pool as it is "splash proof." The design is really fun, and I'll definitely be using it soon. It is also a good size. You could easily fit wet clothes/a change of clothes, and any other essentials. It retails for $36.

I love getting books in the Must Have boxes. As an avid reader, I was excited to see The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid in this box. It's retail value is $26.

I've been wearing hats almost every day, so I was especially excited to see this bright blue Billabong Trucker Hat. It retails for 17.95.

Some snacks are also included in the June must have box. The Caramel Starbucks Frappuccino is one of my favorites. A coupon to purchase another drink at a discounted price was also included. And the Belgian Boys Mini Cookie Stash cookie butter cookies were very good. Seriously, I ate these within 5 minutes of opening the box. The Starbuck Drink and Cookies retail for $2.19 and $0.99 respectively.

The Captain Blankenship Mermaid Sea Salt Hair Spray seems like an interesting concept. And I like the packaging. My hair texture is not really a good fit for this product though, so I'll probably give it to a friend and let them try it! It retails for $24. And The NCLA So Rich Mermaid Tears is a cuticle oil that keeps your nails moisturized and healthy. It smells great, and does exactly what it claims. It retails for $18.

And finally, the last thing in this box are these cute party straws from Meri Meri. They only cots $5.95 and I think they'd be a great addition to any summer party!

Popsugar did a great job with this box, as usual. My favorites are the hat, the bag, and the book. Let me know if you are a popsugar must have member down in the comments! Are you happy with this months box?
